WHO WE ARE

Stanley G. Falk School, a New York State Education Department-approved Special Day School, provides educational programming for students aged 5-21 years, who have special learning, social and emotional needs. Classroom instruction and related services are provided according to each student's Individual Education Plan. Students receive instruction in highly structured, small classroom settings.

Our highly qualified staff provides students with the academic, social and behavioral support necessary for meeting commencement requirements. School-to-work transition planning begins at age 13 to prepare students for the shift to the community and their post-secondary goals.

Character education traits – trustworthiness, responsibility, caring, citizenship, respect and fairness – are integrated throughout the curriculum.

OUR HISTORY

Stanley G. Falk was a well-known social activist and a Harvard Law School graduate who went on to become a prominent Buffalo estate attorney specializing in tax law. Mr. Falk donated much of his time to the betterment of the Buffalo community by supporting local organizations and various charities.  He was also a trustee of a fund designated specifically for the education of children. Mr. Falk was a disciplined man who held himself to high standards while demanding excellence of others – the same set of principles that represents the philosophy of our school.
