7th grade students at Rossler spent the last five weeks participating in "Encouraging Kind Kids" presentations through the SPCA of Erie County. A main goal of the EKK program is to encourage kids to identify and exhibit humane qualities of compassion, empathy, caring, kindness, respect, and responsibility toward all life. The students were able to learn about different animals, their needs, and their habitats through a variety of hands-on interactive lessons. Finally, students were able to meet Cypress, a wood box turtle currently living at the SPCA. A field trip to the SPCA is being scheduled for students to see first hand all of the wonderful work done there. Thank you to Ms. Del Regno for organizing this program!
