Students and staff participated in various learning activities in celebration of Black History Month such as a drumming experience with Jamil Adéwalé Kasumu, a gallery walk, bingo of various artists, and recording thoughtful responses to prompts to share their voice. A huge shout out to teacher, Ms. Garvin, and counselor, Ms. Johnson, for having the vision to coordinate and plan all of the Black History focused events. It was a day to remember! Louiston is a 7th grade student who shows up everyday and puts forth effort in all that he does and always gets his work done on time. He completes everything to the best of his ability and takes pride in his work.
Kalub is an 11th grade student who is an extremely driven young man that comes to school every day, ready to work so he can achieve good grades. Due to his excellent work-ethic, Kalub makes sure he completes all of his missing work and is willing to advocate for himself when he needs assistance!

Our elementary campus hosted a book release party with the long awaited book, Magic Tree House #37 Rhinos at Recess. The auditorium was transformed into a savanna with our own tree house and students participated in various adventures.
